Job Summary
Human Resources & Payroll Administrator responsible for onboarding, payroll administration, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. Key duties include coordinating new hire onboarding and orientation, handling I-9 verification and E-Verify, processing background checks, maintaining accurate HR records, addressing benefits questions, supporting employee engagement, and assisting with payroll submissions and timekeeping reconciliation. Requires strong attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, and proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office. On-site role based in Sterling, VA, reporting to the Human Resources Director, with a schedule of Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, Payroll Administration, Office Administration, or related business operations
- Experience utilizing HRIS and payroll systems
- Knowledge of payroll processes, timekeeping administration, and HR compliance requirements
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Experience with I-9 verification, E-Verify, background screening, and employee onboarding processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
