Job Summary
Propose retention solutions and engage partners on employee relations, performance management, terminations, teambuilding, and conflict resolution. Conduct new hire orientations, lead integration planning, and serve as the benefits point-of-contact for employee inquiries. Manage leaves of absence including FMLA and workers' compensation, develop training programs, and facilitate special projects with region-wide or company-wide impact. This role requires 6+ years of HR experience with federal and state labor law knowledge, 50% day travel, and occasional overnight trips. Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of related experience including employee relations experience
- Bachelors (or Masters degree) in Human Resources or related field
- Knowledge of federal and state labor and employment law
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and HRIS systems
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal communication, presentation, and relationship building
- Excellent organization and follow-through skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with limited daily supervision
- Ability and desire to work collaboratively with team members within the region, as well as across the firm, to meet goals
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and provide excellent internal and external client service
- Day travel is required to support the needs of the region, approximately 50%
- overnight travel required occasionally
Desired Qualifications
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP strongly preferred
