Job Summary
The Manager, Human Resources leads a team of HR professionals supporting the Costa Rica contact center locations. Responsibilities include overseeing payroll processes with a third-party vendor, resolving complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with local labor laws and policies, updating handbooks and SOPs, administering employee lifecycle activities (including onboarding and training), conducting investigations with legal counsel as needed, leading health and safety initiatives, interfacing with the Ministry of Labor, and driving process improvements for efficiency and scalability. The role requires delivering management trainings on HR policies, managing multiple HR processes for the location, and representing TransPerfect at labor-related hearings while maintaining confidentiality and delivering timely, compliant HR support in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and relationship-building abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS (Workday experience preferred)
- Proactive, self-motivated and take-charge attitude
- Ability to follow projects through to completion and provide constructive feedback
- Sound judgment and objective decision-making aligned with company interests
- Organized, reliable, results-driven, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to work effectively with management, employees, and legal counsel
- Experience in handling employee relations, investigations, performance management, and compliance
