Job Summary
Lead all human resource functions for a growing mental health private practice by serving as the primary HR resource for employees and leadership. Maintain accurate personnel files, ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, and respond to inquiries regarding policies and benefits. Manage recruitment, screening, and interview coordination while facilitating onboarding, orientation, and exit processes. Administer payroll, benefits, and leave programs; develop and update HR policies and the employee handbook. Support performance evaluations, workforce planning, and employee relations initiatives to foster an inclusive culture. This hybrid role requires two days in-office collaboration with clinical and administrative staff.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive HR experience
- Experience processing payroll and administering employee benefits
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and HRIS/payroll systems
Desired Qualifications
- HR experience in a healthcare, behavioral health, or mental health setting
- Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
- Experience with employee handbook development and policy writing
- Familiarity with healthcare compliance and credentialing processes
