Job Summary
HR Manager role based in Walnut Creek, CA with hybrid in-office requirement (50% in-office). Primary point of contact for employees across all HR functions, supervising one HR Assistant, and partnering with senior leadership on compliance, employee relations, benefits, and organizational initiatives. Responsibilities include recruiting and onboarding, labor law compliance (California and federal), benefits administration (health insurance, 401(k)), leave programs (FMLA, California Paid Family Leave), workers’ compensation, HR documentation in BambooHR, payroll support, performance management, compensation planning, succession planning, and culture initiatives. Requires deep California employment-law expertise, strong communication, and ability to work across multiple offices and remote teammates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Five to seven years of progressive HR experience
- Experience supervising or leading others
- Strong working knowledge of California and federal labor law
- Experience with BambooHR or a similar HRIS
