Job Summary

The role leads HR policy development and administration for a California-based organization, focusing on onboarding, benefits administration (including compensation and workers’ compensation), performance management, training and development, succession planning, offboarding, and conflict resolution. Responsibilities include refining HR processes, maintaining benefits programs, assisting with recruitment and orientation, ensuring compliance with federal/state labor regulations, improving internal procedures, supporting departments with strategic HR plans, scheduling and evaluating HR activities, leading a rigorous onboarding process, maintaining HR policies, and ensuring confidentiality. Requires guiding managers on coaching and discipline, managing time and attendance, building stakeholder relationships, and handling sensitive information. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, HRIS experience, strong knowledge of applicable federal/state laws, 3+ years in HR management, exceptional Spanish-language communication, strong interpersonal and ethical mindset, skill-gap analysis and training needs assessment, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills, talent identification and career/succession planning, and familiarity with HRIS systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources or related field
  • Experience working with a Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Strong understanding of federal and state laws applicable to Human Resources
  • Three or more years of experience in human resources management, in a similar capacity
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to communicate in Spanish
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ethical mindset
  • Ability to identify skill gaps and identify training needs
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills
  • Identify talent and create career and succession plans
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems
