Job Summary
Manage full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding through HRIS systems while administering workers' compensation claims and overseeing performance management, goal setting, and evaluations. Address employee concerns promptly, conduct workplace investigations, and mediate conflicts to support a respectful workplace. Administer leaves of absence including FMLA, CFRA, and ADA accommodations, partner with payroll for accurate compensation, and review HR policies aligned with California employment laws. Partner with benefits brokers to administer medical, dental, vision, and retirement programs while maintaining accurate employee records and generating HR reports. Serve as the primary HR resource for employees, managers, and leadership, identifying training needs and facilitating workshops. This role requires 7–10 years of progressive HR experience, bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, and an SPHR certification. The position offers $120K annually with 100% onsite hours from 7:30am to 3:30pm in South Sacramento.
Required Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- 7–10 years of progressive HR experience across multiple HR disciplines
- SPHR strongly preferred; PHR, SHRM-SCP, or similar certification required
- Strong knowledge of California employment law and HR compliance
- Experience in employee relations, leave administration, recruiting, and payroll support
- Proficiency with Paylocity or similar HRIS systems
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Highly organized, able to prioritize and work independently
- Reliable attendance and ability to travel occasionally between locations
