Job Summary
Directs multi-district human resources functions and leads HR generalist activities to drive personnel development, labor relations, and talent management within mining-divisional operations. Responsibilities include developing and guiding employee relations strategies, performance management, succession planning, onboarding processes for salaried staff, merit and wage reviews, and headcount planning. Leads contract negotiations and ensures compliance with employment laws (EEOC, Title VII, ADA, ADEA, NLRA, OSHA) while coordinating ethics hotline oversight. Supervises 3+ HR staff and partners with business leaders to align HR initiatives with district and business-unit goals. Travel is frequent within the division; role requires full-time commitment with significant in-office presence and travel. Required education includes a bachelor’s degree with 8–10 years in HR and at least 5 years in management; SHRM-SCP and a master’s degree are preferred. 40% mining locations and 60% professional office environment; long hours and weekend work expected.
