Job Summary
Lead end-to-end recruitment and workforce planning for the new Gold Coast property, coordinating campaigns, career fairs, and onboarding experiences to build a high-performing team from day one. Drive associate engagement, recognition, and wellbeing initiatives while managing performance, employee relations, and compliance with Australian employment legislation. Oversee payroll, HR reporting, audits, and budget management to support business success and maintain a people-first culture aligned with Marriott International standards. This role involves acting as a trusted advisor to hotel leadership during pre-opening and ongoing operations.
Required Qualifications
- Previous Human Resources leadership experience within hospitality, tourism, hotels, or a related service industry
- Strong recruitment and talent acquisition experience, ideally within a pre-opening or high-volume environment
- Sound knowledge of Australian employment legislation, Awards, and HR best practices
- Experience managing employee relations, engagement, and culture initiatives
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Passion for developing people and creating exceptional workplace experiences
Desired Qualifications
- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or a related discipline
- Experience within Marriott International or another global hospitality organisation is highly regarded
- Experience supporting hotel openings or large-scale recruitment projects is advantageous
