Job Summary
Magellan Aerospace is seeking a Human Resources Manager in Kitchener to lead HR activities for the division, including staffing, onboarding, employee development and training, performance management, labor and employee relations investigations, benefits and salary administration, and collaboration with management to drive DEI initiatives and compliance with employment laws. The role involves negotiating collective bargaining where applicable, overseeing engagement initiatives, wage surveys, budget analysis for the department, and liaising with various levels of management to strengthen workforce development. The ideal candidate combines 5-7 years of management experience with 5-10 years in HR, holds post-secondary education in business/commerce and/or HR certification, possesses professional HR designation (e.g., CHRL, CIPD, SHRM), and can handle confidential information while supporting organizational goals and change management. A security clearance for the Controlled Goods Program is required if applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Business Management/Commerce and/or certification in Human Resource Management
- Professional designation such as CHRL, CIPD, SHRM
- 5-7 years management experience and 5-10 years HR experience
- Practical knowledge of employee/labour relations, recruitment, compensation/benefits, and applicable HR legislation
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Flexibility in hours as required by role
- Ability to pass government security clearances for Controlled Goods Program
