Job Summary
Manage day-to-day HR operations and processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent service across employee relations, leave administration, benefits, and compliance. Maintain HRIS data integrity by conducting periodic audits, resolving discrepancies, and generating reports for management needs. Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and training programs while supporting onboarding and offboarding for faculty, staff, and work-study employees. Coordinate benefit enrollments, manage leave balances including FMLA, and provide guidance to managers on workplace concerns and performance matters. Escalate complex or sensitive issues to the Director of Human Resources as appropriate. This role supports the mission-driven Life Chiropractic College West in building a diverse, inclusive campus culture through constant innovation and assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive experience in HR, including experience managing HR operations or project coordination
- Solid knowledge of federal and state labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices
- Demonstrated experience handling employee relations matters and advising managers
- Experience designing or delivering training programs or staff development workshops
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
- Proficient with Microsoft suite and G-Suite drive/ tools
Desired Qualifications
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR)
- Experience in higher education, non profit, or a mission-driven environment
- Proficiency with Paycom or other HRIS systems
