Job Summary
Human Resources Manager at a West Los Angeles, CA law firm. Responsibilities include managing recruitment/staffing for nonexempt staff and temporary/contract employees, coordinating onboarding and new-hire orientations, overseeing annual Open Enrollment, handling employee relations, developing HR policies and procedures, conducting exit interviews and data-driven improvements, ensuring compliance with federal/state labor laws (including leave programs such as FMLA, PFL, CFRA and ADA accommodations), monitoring attendance and staffing needs, coordinating immigration procedures, maintaining personnel files, and leading staff training and meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field required
- 5+ years of human resources experience preferably in an HR generalist role
- Law firm experience is REQUIRED
- Broad range of functional human resources expertise, including employee relations and recruitment/staffing, and performance management
- Strong technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite
