Job Summary
Lead HLR's recruiting strategy from sourcing through onboarding, partnering with managers to identify staffing needs and coordinate interviews, offers, and orientation programs. Oversee employee relations by addressing workplace concerns, guiding performance management cycles, and conducting exit interviews to improve retention. Administer compensation programs, conduct salary benchmarking, and manage benefit vendor relationships while educating staff on available wellness options. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws by maintaining policies, procedures, and confidential personnel records. Advise leadership on workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness, recommending improvements to HR policies and employee engagement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Five or more years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Three or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience supporting multiple departments and partnering with organizational leadership
- Ability to travel periodically to HLR office locations throughout Illinois
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
Desired Qualifications
- PHR or SPHR certification
- Experience with Paylocity, Deltek Vantagepoint, or similar HRIS/payroll systems
