Job Summary
HR Manager leading and managing all HR functions in a healthcare setting (acute inpatient psychiatric hospital) with responsibilities spanning employee relations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, onboarding, and performance management. Role requires ensuring regulatory and accreditation compliance, credentialing and licensure tracking, HR policies and audits, and partnership with leadership to support staffing for clinical and non-clinical roles. On-site presence in East Lansing and Lansing, MI. Key skills include employee relations, investigations, talent acquisition, onboarding, regulatory compliance, HIPAA/privacy training, HRIS management, payroll coordination, and leadership development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in healthcare
- Experience supporting clinical staff preferred
- Strong knowledge of employment law and healthcare regulations
- Experience with credentialing, licensure, and compliance tracking
- Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
