Job Summary
Manage Human Resources programs and processes consistent with Cabela's & Bass Pro Shops Mission, Values and HR best practices. Provide day-to-day operational services including recruitment, training, and employee relations while partnering with managers to develop departmental recruitment plans. Ensure accuracy of time & labour, HRIS, and payroll documentation; prepare business cases for compensation, discipline, disability, and workers' compensation decisions. Lead or support investigations around employee misconduct and provide performance management advice to managers. Collaborate with Canada HR leadership to deliver consistent programming across the region. Requires post-secondary education in business, 3-5 years of HR experience, and familiarity with provincial employment legislation. Flexible availability including weekends and evenings is required. Starting pay rate is $63,900.00 - $79,875.00.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business or related discipline
- 3 to 5 years of experience in Human Resources in an employee-facing generalist capacity
- Knowledge and experience applying provincial employment legislation
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent coaching skills
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new systems and programs
- Flexible availability including the ability to work during all retail hours of operation if needed
- Some weekend and evening work will be required
Desired Qualifications
- CPHR designation preferred
- Experience working in a retail environment is an asset
- Knowledge and/or experience in outdoor activities and associated products preferred
