Job Summary
Directly oversee HR administration, coordination and evaluation for ConMet’s Clackamas manufacturing (union) and Vancouver, WA machining plant (non-union); reports to Plant Manager with one direct report. Lead improvements in employee experience areas (retention, training & development, culture), manage application of the CBA with the local union, administer policies and benefits, coordinate recruitment with corporate teams, conduct orientations, coach leaders on development plans, provide performance feedback and HR training, oversee Workers’ Compensation, safety metrics, and leave management, and deliver HR metrics to leadership. Requires Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years HR experience in manufacturing, with experience negotiating a collective bargaining agreement; payroll experience and PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred. Required Qualifications
- Five or more years of progressive HR experience (ideally to a level such as Sr. HR Generalist or HR Manager)
- HR experience in manufacturing or closely-related environment
- Experience working managing/negotiating collective bargaining agreement
- Bachelor’s degree (or additional HR experience commensurate with knowledge attained through a degree)
- Payroll experience highly preferred
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP certifications preferred
