Job Summary

The Human Resources Leave & Disability Specialist is responsible for administering FMLA, ADA accommodations, unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, short- and long-term disability, and other leave programs while ensuring compliance with applicable laws. Key responsibilities include managing leave requests, overseeing return-to-work processes, advising on leave laws, maintaining employee records in compliance with privacy regulations, and administering Workers’ Compensation claims. The role requires excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain confidentiality.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems

Desired Qualifications

  • At least one year of human resource management experience preferred
  • SHRM-CP a plus
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English required
