Job Summary
As the Human Resources Lead in Penticton, you will provide leadership and oversight of HR across a blended work setting, ensuring compliance with Employment Standards, Human Rights, Occupational Health and Safety, and Immigration. You will offer labour relations consultation to the Senior Leadership Team and Team Leaders, support quality assurance and risk management, and drive recruitment and onboarding processes. You will manage employment journeys including leaves, return-to-work programs, and offboarding, act as the primary contact for BCGEU, CSSEA LR, WorkSafeBC, IRCC and other external consultants, and represent the employer on the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee. You will provide mediation and guidance in conflict resolution, advise on Provincial Nominee Program and LMIA processes, handle grievances/arbitration responses, review job descriptions for classification and benchmarking, and stay current on legislative developments in the Labour Relations field. You will lead the development of sustainable HR systems and cultivate a positive, inclusive, high-performing workplace culture.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Equivalent
- Equivalent combination of skill, knowledge, and experience
- A CPHR designation is preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience as a labour relations officer or human resources generalist
- Completion of Criminal Record Check
