Human Resources Intern (Part Time)

Job Summary
Conduct recruiting activities by posting positions, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews. Support onboarding by preparing paperwork, orientation materials, and personnel files while maintaining accurate records in ADP Workforce Now. Assist with HR audits, benefits administration, and creating communications, newsletters, and training materials. Update policies, procedures, and employee handbook materials as needed. Provide administrative support including filing, scanning, data entry, and report preparation. Participate in special HR projects, employee engagement events, and workplace investigations under observation. Maintain confidentiality and attention to detail while handling sensitive information.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer for extended periods
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 pounds
- Must legally reside and perform their work in the state of New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, or Pennsylvania
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Canva or other design software
- Familiarity with HRIS systems (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
- Interest in nonprofit or healthcare human resources
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong customer service mindset
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
