Job Summary
The Human Resources Intern will serve as the main point of contact for onboarding, employee communications, HRIS, benefits administration, and problem resolution. Key responsibilities include maintaining employee records, reconciling HRIS data, processing disabilities and workers' compensation, administering benefits, and managing performance assessments. Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, have at least 2 years of HR experience, and possess strong communication skills and knowledge of employment law.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or a related field with coursework in business, accounting, human resource management, professional writing, psychology, and industrial relations
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Human Resources Coordinator or Specialist
- Knowledge of state and federal employment law
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS
- Experience planning, organizing, and administering Human Resources programs or initiatives
- Strong self-awareness and emotional intelligence
- Ability to communicate with employees at all levels of the organization
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Professional in Human Resources Certification preferred
- Employee relations experience is preferred
