Job Summary
The HR Generalist supports the day-to-day Human Resources needs of Willow ministries by delivering comprehensive HR support throughout the employee lifecycle. This role partners with ministry leadership and staff to foster a positive, compliant, and mission-aligned workplace culture. What You’ll Do includes talent acquisition, full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, screening checks, benefits and compensation support, employee relations, compliance and HR policy guidance, HRIS administration (Paylocity preferred), and offboarding. Responsibilities cover managing job postings, sourcing, interviewing, offers, onboarding, promotions and salary changes, FMLA and workers’ compensation administration, performance management, training initiatives, audits and recordkeeping. The ideal candidate is organized, relational, detail-oriented, able to handle confidential information, and capable of navigating employment laws and HR best practices while supporting organizational HR programs and ensuring effective hiring practices and legal compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Experience with handling sensitive and highly confidential information
- Experience working within HRIS, Paylocity preferred.
- Understanding of various recruiting channels, job boards, and networking groups for recruiting purposes.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
