Job Summary
Manage essential employee lifecycle activities including onboarding and offboarding while supporting employee relations topics such as administering discipline and addressing policy inquiries. Conduct investigations, recommend actions, and coach leaders on performance improvement and people processes. Partner with HR Managers and manufacturing leaders in the Houston area to enhance people operations processes and support the HR transformation model, including Workday Help module implementation. Assist with payroll and attendance records as applicable. This role requires a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field with at least two years of progressive HR experience in a global organization. The position is hybrid, initially 4 days a week in office for 90 days, later transitioning to a minimum of 3 days a week.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience in a global organization
- Manufacturing experience
- experience maintaining positive employee relations
- Hands-on experience supporting employee relations, HR processes and full employee life cycle administration
- Proficient in HRIS platforms
- Microsoft Office Suite (Solid/advance Excel and Power Point required)
- Knowledge of US labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills

- ability to collaborate with leaders and employees across multiple functions
- supported by effective communication, problem‐solving, and organizational skills
- Applicant must be living in the Houston area
- authorized to work in the US
- This position is located at 5904 Bingle Road, Houston, TX 77092
- expected to travel to two additional Valmet locations in the Houston area
- This position is not available for internation relocation

- responsible for people processes across the US and Canada
- In this role, you will be responsible for providing support to a variety of teams across the US and Canada
- partnering with HR Managers as well as the manufacturing leaders and employees in the Houston area

- Other activities to support payroll, and attendance records as applicable
- Success in this position requires the ability to collaborate with leaders and employees across multiple functions, supported by effective communication, problem‐solving, and organizational skills
- This role is hybrid, initially 4 days a week in office for 90 days, later a minimum of 3 days a week after that
