Job Summary
HR Generalist in Nicholasville, KY provides recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, compliance, and ongoing personnel support for statewide programs. Responsibilities include managing job postings, tracking candidates through pre-hire processes (background checks, drug screens, and required clearances), coordinating remote pre-employment checks, maintaining recruitment records, presenting candidates for hiring approvals, coordinating onboarding and benefits orientation, coordinating IT and administrative access needs, maintaining onboarding follow-ups, conducting QA for background checks, maintaining employee personnel and confidential files, tracking employment authorizations and renewals, supporting evaluations (60-day and annual), assisting with FMLA and workplace injury processes, coordinating exit interviews, supporting audits and regulatory inquiries, and providing program-specific HR support in collaboration with leadership and external partners.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred, or 2-4 years HR experience
- PHR certification is a plus
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, HRIS, and LMS
- Knowledge of HR compliance and employment regulations
- Strong organizational skills and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
