Job Summary

As a Human Resources Generalist, oversee HR functions for the West Chicago location while supporting Canada operations. Lead the full employee lifecycle—onboarding, recruiting, employee relations, compliance with company policies and laws, Workday administration, and terminations—acting as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees. Champion the company culture, identify opportunities to improve processes and the employee/manager experience, and drive operational excellence across West Chicago and Canada. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to source candidates, screen and interview, and continuously optimize sourcing and onboarding. Mediate disputes, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage relationships with contingent vendors. Travel up to 25% to support activities. Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), 5+ years HR experience with focus on training, recruiting, ER, policy interpretation, and performance management; HR certification (HRCI/SHRM) is favorable. Relocation is available. Proficiency in employment law, organizational awareness, communication, decision making, teamwork, and a strong customer focus are essential. Analyze and interpret legal documents and safety/benefits programs, and contribute to developing scalable HR programs across multiple regions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, HR, Communication or Liberal Arts or other applicable degree/ or at least 5 years of equivalent work-related experience
  • At least 5 years of experience in progressive human resources experience with a focus in training, full cycle recruiting, employee relations, policy interpretation and administration, and performance management
  • HR Certification such as: HRCI/SHRM related Certification
  • Planning and Organizing.
  • Employment law: Knowledge of employment-related federal and state employment regulations.
  • Organizational awareness: Understand the business operations from both a strategic and tactical perspective.
