Job Summary

Define and optimize scalable, human-centered HR processes across business units while supporting policy implementation and external trend analysis. Maintain benefit enrollment between ADP and providers, manage open enrollment processing, and address employee inquiries regarding FMLA, leave policies, affirmative action plans, and OSHA tracking. Collaborate with PF & QF teams to communicate HR updates and advise senior leaders on distributed teams. Support over 600 employees across 40 states in a hybrid environment with minimal domestic travel.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience with payroll and ADP Workforce Now
  • Ability to display confidentiality
  • Must be able to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and in writing
  • Must be able to understand and effectively exchange accurate information with others such as coworkers, customers, and vendors
  • Must be able to read and interpret various electronic and written documents
  • Must be able to move packages up to 10 pounds such as office supplies or equipment
  • Must be able to operate a computer or other office devices for the majority of the workday
  • Must be available for minimal travel in the U.S.
  • Must be available for potential travel to the annual Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic
  • Must be available for perhaps 1-2 team meetings per year
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid - remote/onsite environment (flexible, 3 days/week at HQ in White Bear Lake, Minnesota)

Desired Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience
  • Knowledge of compensation plans and structures
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now and ADP Comprehensive Services
  • Knowledge of multiple state family leave and sick laws
  • Knowledge of COBRA
  • Knowledge of SOC codes and state and federal affirmative action plans
  • Familiar with current federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
  • Applies sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills to complex problems and organizational challenges
  • Strong ability and experience supervising, coaching, mentoring, and directing others
  • Experience advising senior business leaders across distributed teams or regional locations
  • Strong judgment, emotional intelligence, and the ability to build trust across leadership styles
  • Strong tactical, problem solving, and communication skills
  • Comfortable working in ambiguity and excited by a 'build while driving' environment
  • SHRM-CP/SCP or PHR/SPHR certification
  • Knowledge of conservation and related industry, with a passion for wildlife conservation and outdoors
