Job Summary
HR Generalist in a 24/7 manufacturing environment at Kumho Tire Georgia (Macon, GA) serving as a business partner to employees, supervisors, and management. Responsible for employee relations, labor relations, recruitment, onboarding, payroll support, benefits administration, performance management, policy interpretation, and HR compliance. Advises leadership on disciplinary actions and policy administration in accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA); conducts investigations, monitors workforce metrics, maintains records, supports payroll and benefits processes, and partners with Talent Acquisition on full-cycle recruiting. Supports training, onboarding, compliance with federal/state/local employment regulations (FMLA, ADA, EEO, wage/hour), and HR process improvements while contributing to workforce planning and employee engagement in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Minimum of 5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience
- Strong experience in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, payroll support, and benefits administration
- Experience supporting a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment preferred
- Experience working in a unionized environment and knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) strongly preferred
- Knowledge of employment law, HR compliance, workplace investigations, and HR best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; HRIS and ATS experience a plus
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
