Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary

Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policy. Process personnel transactions including new hires, transfers, and separations while monitoring workflows to guarantee timely completion. Provide first-level support to employees and managers on HRIS navigation, benefits, leaves, and employment-related questions. Perform routine audits of HRIS data to identify and correct discrepancies, run standard and ad hoc reports for leadership, and facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes. Partner with stakeholders to handle performance management, behavioral issues, and conflict resolution conversations, escalating complex matters as appropriate. Work hybrid in El Segundo, CA, with 1-2 days remote.

Required Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma or GED
  • One to three years of administrative/generalist experience in HR, human resources support, or HRIS
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee relations situations and information appropriately
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and data accuracy skills
  • This position is hybrid; work from home 1-2 days per week, and in office 3-4 days per week, and based in El Segundo, CA

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and maintain effective working relationships
  • Sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and follow through in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ability to identify issues, communicate status clearly, and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Experience working with HR systems, databases, or other business systems
  • Prior UKG system experience
  • Prior experience with leaves of absence, ADA, and benefits administration
  • Prior employee relations experience
