Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
Maintain and update employee records in HR systems, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policy and applicable laws. Process personnel transactions in the HRIS, including new hires, transfers, status changes, and separations, while monitoring workflows to ensure timely completion and data accuracy. Provide first-level support to employees and managers on routine HR, employee relations, HRIS, benefits, and leaves, escalating complex system or data issues as needed. Run standard and ad hoc HR reports, facilitate onboarding and offboarding processes, and track compliance-related documentation such as I-9 administration. Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure the accurate, timely, and confidential handling of HR information and processes. This hybrid role is based in Phoenix, AZ, with 1-2 days working from home.
Required Qualifications
- A High School Diploma or GED
- One to three years of administrative/generalist experience in HR, human resources support, or HRIS
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee relations situations and information appropriately
- Strong organizational, time-management, and follow-through skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and data accuracy skills
Desired Qualifications
- Equivalent administrative experience for candidates who are systems-minded and eager to learn HR systems and processes
- Experience working with HR systems, databases, or other business systems
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to respond professionally and effectively to employees, managers, and internal stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and maintain effective working relationships
- Sound judgment, critical thinking, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
- Ability to prioritize work, manage multiple tasks, and follow through in a timely and accurate manner
- Ability to identify issues, communicate status clearly, and escalate concerns appropriately
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to data accuracy and confidentiality
- Prior UKG system experience
- Prior experience with leaves of absence, ADA, and benefits administration
- Prior employee relations experience
