Human Resources Generalist I

Job Summary
Maintain accurate employee personnel records and HRIS data using ADP Workforce Now, processing all employment record changes including new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations. Process payroll accurately and timely for assigned manufacturing facilities, review data for discrepancies, and generate standard HR and payroll reports. Coordinate benefit enrollments for new hires and qualifying life events, facilitate annual Open Enrollment, and educate employees on available programs. Respond to employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, procedures, and employment practices while communicating corporate initiatives to assigned facilities. Assist with onboarding activities, orientation, and training initiatives, and escalate employee relations issues to Corporate HR as appropriate. Occasional travel up to 25% to manufacturing facilities may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of Human Resources experience
- Experience processing payroll and HR administration
- Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with corporate HR and operational leadership
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use a computer for extended periods
- Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds
- Occasional travel up to 25% to assigned manufacturing facilities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or similar HR certification
- Experience supporting multiple locations or manufacturing operations
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now
