Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
HR Generalist supporting recruiting coordination, onboarding, leave administration, HRIS (Paycom), employee engagement, compliance, and day-to-day HR operations. Serves as primary point of contact for HR inquiries and partners with the Director of Human Resources to support initiatives, employee lifecycle activities, and process improvements in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include coordinating job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, pre-employment requirements, offer letters, onboarding, leave coordination (FMLA/ADA/disability/return-to-work), maintaining accurate HR data, HRIS audits and reporting, ensuring compliance with federal/state policies, supporting employee engagement events and intern programs, and assisting with special HR projects.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR), preferred
- 3+ years of progressive HR experience, with responsibility for HR operations, employee support, compliance tracking, leave administration, and manager/employee guidance
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing, distribution, or hourly workforce environment preferred
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance practices, including FMLA, ADA, wage and hour, I-9, employee records, and policy administration
- Strong employee relations, communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Paycom HRIS experience is a plus
