Job Summary
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for assigned positions, including job postings, candidate communication, interview coordination, and onboarding. Serve as the primary HR contact for assigned gym locations, providing guidance on policies, employee relations, and disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with employment laws. Administer benefits enrollment, leave management, and payroll support by reviewing timecards and handling workers' compensation claims. Maintain accurate HRIS data within Paylocity, generate workforce reports, and travel to local DMV sites two to three times weekly for on-site support. Lead department projects focused on improving processes, strengthening compliance, and enhancing the employee experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Experience supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, payroll, and compliance
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and multi-state employment laws
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Ability to balance strategic initiatives and daily operational responsibilities
- Ability to occasionally stand, bend, reach, and lift office supplies or materials up to 25 lbs
- Ability to read documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens for prolonged periods
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively via phone, email, and in person
- Travel to local DMV sites two to three times a week
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Experience in a Generalist role
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HRIS preferred
