Human Resources Generalist

Job Summary
Human Resources Generalist responsible for day-to-day HR activities including benefits administration, onboarding, background checks, employee inquiries, and compliance with federal/state/local laws. Will interact with Recruiting staff, Hiring Managers, Accounting, and Program Managers; support employee relations, disciplinary processes, and investigations; maintain HR policies and stay current on HR trends and regulatory changes. Requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, 3-5 years of HR experience, knowledge of HR requirements for a mid-sized government contractor, HRIS experience (Paylocity preferred), and ability to obtain security clearance. SHRM/HRCI certification is desirable.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of HR experience
- Knowledgeable of HR requirements for a mid-sized government contractor
- Experience with HRMS/HRIS systems
- Data-driven and detail oriented
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Ability to work under tight timeframes and problem-solve
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- SHRM or HRCI certification (desired)
