Job Summary
Support employees and managers on employee relations issues, conduct investigations, and provide coaching to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. Maintain leave of absences, reasonable accommodations, and benefits administration while managing terminations and exit interviews. Coordinate required trainings, process performance evaluations, and oversee personnel transactions including hires, promotions, and transfers. Act as a liaison with third-party administrators and assist the Talent Acquisition Team with hiring and onboarding. This role requires a valid California Driver's License, proficiency in HRIS systems, and adherence to strict confidentiality and safety protocols within a healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
- 3 years related experience and/or training
- experience in employee relations
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardized exists
- Ability to make appropriate job decisions following standard office policies and past precedents
- Experience with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and keyboarding
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Suite skills
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Possession of current, valid, unrestricted California Driver's License (Class C)
- HR certification (PHR/SHRM-CP)
- Pass a criminal history background check and drug screen upon hire
- Annual health examination
- annual Tuberculosis skin test clearance or chest x-ray
- proof of immunity to MMR, Varicella, and Hepatitis B
- proof of Tdap vaccine
- during current flu season, proof of influenza vaccine or a signed declination form
- Must be willing to have a flexible work schedule that may include evening/weekends as needed
- Driving will be required for this position
- A company-vehicle may be available, but personal reliable transportation is required
