Job Summary
Serve as a trusted HR contact for employees and managers, providing guidance on policies, procedures, and employee relations issues. Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws while supporting performance management processes, including coaching leaders and facilitating reviews. Lead or assist with full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing and support roles, partnering with hiring managers to streamline selection processes. Enter and maintain data in HRIS and ATS systems, identifying opportunities to digitize and automate HR processes. Support onboarding, new hire orientation, and employee engagement initiatives while maintaining confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Maintain a regular Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional early morning, evening, or weekend hours as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 3-5 years of HR generalist experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment
- Strong working knowledge of VA employment law and HR compliance
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS systems (UKG, Workday, or similar), including report generation and process improvement
- Proven ability to recruit for technical manufacturing roles
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity
- Regular schedule is Monday through Friday, 8-hour shifts during standard business hours
- Flexibility to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation, including occasional early morning, evening, or weekend hours
Desired Qualifications
