Job Summary
Support full-cycle recruitment and benefits administration for a university setting, handling personnel lifecycle tasks from job postings and candidate screening to benefits enrollment, open enrollment planning, and compliance reporting. Partner with HR team, hiring managers, and external providers to ensure compliant processes, accurate data, and a positive employee experience across recruitment, benefits, and leave management (FMLA, ADA, COBRA) while maintaining confidentiality and contributing to DEI-driven workplace goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive HR experience, with demonstrated experience in both recruiting and benefits/leave administration
- 2–4 years of full-cycle recruitment experience
- At least 2 years of experience administering benefits and leaves of absence
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws related to benefits, leave of absence, workers’ compensation, ADA/reasonable accommodations, and unemployment insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience
- SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) preferred
- SHRM Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential (a plus)
- Professional certifications such as CBP, CEBS, or PHR (preferred)
- Two to Four years of full-cycle recruitment experience (preferred)
- Multi-state leave administration experience (preferred)
- Experience administering benefits and leaves of absence (preferred)
- Knowledge of California employee benefits and applicable laws (preferred)
- Experience with HRIS Paycom (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint) and HRIS systems (preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information and maintain professionalism
