Job Summary
The Human Resources Functional Analyst serves as the primary functional liaison between HR Payroll operations and Information Technology to optimize PeopleSoft HCM by analyzing processes, gathering technical requirements, and ensuring configurations meet the needs of multiple bargaining units. Responsibilities include supporting end-to-end payroll cycles, configuring and testing HRIS modules, troubleshooting time-tracking issues, translating business needs into detailed requirements, developing HR data reports and BI outputs, leading user acceptance testing for system upgrades and automated solutions, ensuring data security and regulatory compliance (FLSA, ADA), and collaborating with IT, business users, and vendors to improve payroll efficiency and data integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum three years experience with HRIS and HR systems
- Experience with PeopleSoft payroll processing system preferred
- Certified Payroll Professional or Fundamental Payroll Certification desirable
- Strong understanding of payroll compliance, garnishments, tax regulations, and union deductions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to train users and manage projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with HRIS modules including time tracking and payroll
- Data extraction and trend analysis experience
- SQL knowledge desirable
- Perceptive Content experience preferred
- Attention to detail and confidentiality
