Job Summary
Directs the RRPS District Office Human Resources function under a 240-day contract year, overseeing policies, recruitment for licensed/classified personnel, staff development, performance management, and compliance with federal/state regulations; leads employee relations, disciplinary processes, collective bargaining activities, and district-wide HR programs; prepares presentations for meetings, supports strategic planning, and collaborates with district administrations to ensure efficient operations and alignment with EEOC, FMLA, OSHA, NMPSIA, ADA, and related regulations; requires a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of HR and 5 years of supervisory experience, with strong communication, leadership, and teamwork capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required; however, a combination of education, training, and experience may be considered
- Five (5) years’ experience in Human Resources or related field
- Five (5) years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Flexibility, organization, decision-making and problem solving skills
- Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone
- Ability to meet deadlines, work on multiple projects and coordinate the work of others
- Working knowledge of word processing, database and spreadsheet software
- Organized work habits and project management skills
- Strong skills at working both alone and in teams, providing leadership and support to both team members and other personnel alike
- Knowledge of state and federal statutes applicable to public employment, preferably in the school setting
- Some experience in collective bargaining
