Job Summary
HR Director responsible for strategic leadership of people and operations, partnering with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and an inclusive workplace. Leads recruitment, onboarding, performance management, succession planning, and leadership development; advises on employee relations, investigations, and policy implementation; manages compensation and benefits; ensures compliance with U.S. labor laws; implements HR systems, analytics, and reporting to monitor key HR metrics and drive business results.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 8–12+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles
- Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws and HR best practices
- Proven experience partnering with senior leadership
- Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
- Previous hotel experience is also preferred as is the ability to work with various hotel HR related software programs
- Verbal and written English language proficiency is required, with a second language helpful (Creole & Spanish)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks/challenges in the workplace, finding or implementing proper solutions on a timely basis
- Physical requirements include ability to work long hours and lift up to 20 pounds occasionally
