Job Summary
Human Resources Director responsible for tactical and strategic HR management within Growing Up New Mexico, partnering with the leadership team to recruit and hire staff, develop HR policies, manage employee relations, benefits, payroll support, compliance with employment laws, background clearances, and program-wide HR initiatives. Key duties include developing job descriptions, coordinating interviews, conducting orientation, offering letters, maintaining applicant files, creating recruitment campaigns, handling employee communications and feedback, guiding performance improvement processes, managing policies and handbooks, administering benefits and COBRA matters, monitoring pay practices, supporting payroll, ensuring legal compliance, coordinating background clearances and driver license documentation, and representing the organization at events. Requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and five years of HR administration or support experience; bilingual English/Spanish preferred; strong organizational, communication, and software skills (e.g., Bamboo HR, Quickbooks); ability to handle confidential information and work with leadership; occasional local travel; pre-employment screening and background verification required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
- Five years of human resource administration or support experience
