Job Summary
Oversee HR operations at the community level, ensuring compliance with CMS regulations, state requirements, and federal labor laws. Conduct regular audits of employee files, pay profiles, and leave documentation to maintain data integrity, while leading payroll administration and full-cycle leave management including FMLA, ADA accommodations, and state-mandated leave. Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and performance management processes, and partner with department leaders to address staffing needs and workforce planning. Coordinate general orientation programs and train managers on policy application and progressive discipline. This role supports Skilled Nursing, Assisted Living, and Independent Living services at Encore Village of Schaumburg.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Human Resources experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of CMS regulations and healthcare staffing requirements
- Strong employee relations and compliance background
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence effectively, and solve complex problems
- Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Able to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex human resources related documents
- Respond respectfully and effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints
- Extensive knowledge of principles of human resources, including commonly used guidelines and laws on employment and liability
- Extensive knowledge of performance management and customer-service programs
