Human Resources Coordinator

Job Summary
Welcome visitors, answer telephone calls, and respond to routine HR inquiries for the Human Resources Office. Coordinate onboarding and employment administration for all employee classifications, including faculty, staff, student employees, and coaches. Process payroll setup, review payroll registers, and manage employee records within HRIS and Paycom. Complete I-9 processing, maintain employment files, and prepare documents for audits. Assist with benefits enrollment, interview scheduling, and special projects while maintaining strict confidentiality. Full-time, onsite role Monday through Friday with occasional evening support for orientation.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Office Administration, or a related field preferred
- Two (2) or more years of progressively responsible administrative experience required
- Experience coordinating multiple processes with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience maintaining confidential information and exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive matters
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams) required
- Experience working with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS)
- Demonstrated ability to learn and accurately apply complex procedures, regulations, and institutional policies
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working in a higher education environment or an organization with multiple employee classifications
- Successful completion of background checks required
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in Human Resources, payroll, higher education, or a related office environment is strongly preferred
- Paycom experience preferred
- Experience supporting payroll processing, employee onboarding, benefits administration, or employment recordkeeping is preferred
- Experience working in a higher education environment or an organization with multiple employee classifications is preferred
