Job Summary
HR Coordinators will work across Maryland units to provide customer service in a fast-paced HR office, handling benefits inquiries, recruitment support, HR transactions, and policy guidance. Responsibilities include assisting with job postings, participating in search committees, conducting onboarding for new hires, responding to employee inquiries, aiding in HR compliance training, supporting payroll-related actions, and generating HR reports (Workday, Power BI, Excel). Two full-time positions based in Cambridge with travel across the state and a hybrid in-person/remote work arrangement after training. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2-3 years HR experience; SHRM or HRCI certification within 6 months of hire. Preferred experience with USM or MD HR operations and Workday; strong communication, organization, and Excel skills. Target start late summer; salary $65,000–$75,000 plus travel reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, business or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in human resources
- SHRM Certification or HRCI certification required within 6 months of hire
