Job Summary

Manage day-to-day administrative and operational support for the Human Resources function, including maintaining employee records, processing status changes, and serving as the primary HR contact for policy and payroll inquiries. Coordinate onboarding activities from employment documentation to facility access, audit timekeeping records, and reconcile staffing agency billing and contingent worker time. Support employee relations investigations, FMLA and workers' compensation claims, and ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment laws. Generate workforce reports for HR and manufacturing meetings while maintaining confidentiality in a unionized manufacturing environment. This fully onsite role requires five days per week with flexibility to adjust schedules for second-shift coverage.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience
  • Experience supporting employee onboarding, HR administration, payroll processes, and employee relations
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills

Desired Qualifications

  • SHRM-CP, PHR, or other HR certification
  • Experience supporting hourly manufacturing employees
  • Experience in a unionized manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and labor relations practices
  • Experience supporting multiple shifts within a manufacturing operation
  • Experience administering leave of absence programs, workers' compensation claims, and unemployment claims in a manufacturing environment
