Job Summary
HR Coordinator role providing support across the employee life cycle: onboarding, payroll backup, benefits enrollment, leave administration (FMLA, disability, parental leave), unemployment claims, HRIS maintenance, personnel actions, and compliance (I-9/E-Verify, background checks, drug screens, wage reporting). Requires associate degree or 2+ years of experience, strong administrative skills, proficiency with Office Suite, and Paycom familiarity. 5-day in-office schedule in Overland Park, KS with emphasis on confidentiality, organizational excellence, and customer service to internal/external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or 2+ years of HR/administrative experience
- Administrative experience required
- Strong knowledge of HR principles and employment law
- Experience with payroll/benefits administration and HRIS
- Paycom experience preferred
- Experience with I-9 verifications and E-Verify
- Experience handling leave processes (FMLA, disability, parental leave) and unemployment claims
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with strong attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently in an open-office environment
