Job Summary
HR Business Partner responsible for overseeing HR functions in compliance with applicable standards to ensure qualified personnel are interviewed, trained, and employed. Core duties include supporting and implementing HR policies, managing recruitment, onboarding, credentialing, and employment eligibility processes; maintaining personnel records, payroll documentation, attendance and disciplinary files; overseeing workers’ compensation and unemployment claims; providing orientation, training support, policy interpretation, and fostering positive employee relations. Fully onsite schedule with some weekends/evenings/holidays at the Texas State Veterans Home in Tyler. Requires a high school diploma and 5+ years HR experience; college degree or HR certification highly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- at least five years of personnel or HR experience
- strong understanding of HR functions (employee relations, employment law, Workers’ Compensation, unemployment, recruiting, onboarding)
- ability to manage confidential personnel matters
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
