Job Summary

Lead full-cycle recruitment for salaried positions, including sourcing, interviewing, selection, offers, and onboarding, while coordinating onboarding programs to ensure a successful employee experience. Coach organizational leaders on employee and labour relations, performance management, collective bargaining, and negotiations, and lead workplace investigations to resolve complex matters. Partner with leaders to develop people strategies, support workforce planning, and implement organizational change initiatives. Analyze HR metrics and workforce trends to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement in HR programs and processes. This role requires 7+ years of progressive HR experience in an HR Business Partner or similar advisory capacity, with post-secondary education in Human Resources or a related discipline. Proven experience with a unionized workforce and interpreting collective agreements is essential, alongside strong skills in employment legislation, human rights, and leadership coaching.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience in an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist, or similar advisory role
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline
  • Proven experience with a unionized workforce and interpreting collective agreements
  • Demonstrated success partnering with leaders to resolve complex employee and labour relations matters
  • Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, human rights legislation, and HR best practices
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and build trusted relationships across all levels of an organization
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Desired Qualifications

  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or actively pursuing certification)
  • Experience within the construction industry
  • Experience supporting multiple business locations across Canada
  • Workplace investigation training and/or experience
  • Experience supporting organizational change initiatives and leadership development programs
