Job Summary
HR Business Partner role based in Houston, TX, on-site five days a week. Partners with leaders to deliver HR solutions across multiple business units, driving growth, engagement, and performance. Responsibilities include attracting, hiring, and retaining technical talent; administering performance management, compensation, and benefits; guiding leaves of absence, workers’ compensation, and benefits questions; managing employee relations investigations; tracking HR metrics; supporting HR systems (Workday) adoption; coordinating immigration-related processes; coordinating onboarding, new-hire orientation, and I-9/E-Verify compliance; supporting Affirmative Action, open enrollment, wellness, and employee engagement events; maintaining HR records; and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of HRBP experience, with proficiency in Workday and HRIS/ATS, strong communication, confidentiality, and adaptability. Not eligible for Microchip immigration sponsorship.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2+ years of HR Business Partner experience
- Hands-on experience with HRIS and ATS platforms such as Workday and Workday Recruit
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Experience with U.S. immigration processes
- Experience with performance management and compensation practices
- Experience with onboarding, benefits open enrollment, and employee engagement events
- Ability to lead investigations in employee relations matters
- Knowledge of I-9 processing and E-Verify compliance
- Professional HR certification (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SRHMSCP) preferred
- Travel 0-25% (as stated)
