Job Summary
The Human Resources Consultant provides strategic HR support to operational teams on organizational, leadership and talent strategies. Works closely with leaders in clinical and administrative settings to create a high-performing, change-ready environment and to drive people initiatives. Responsibilities include organizational diagnostics and design; translating data into action; partnering with other HR functions on change management initiatives; developing and implementing the people plan for assigned operational departments (e.g., talent management, leadership effectiveness, resource management); identifying gaps and proposing actionable solutions; and coaching leaders to navigate change. Requires proven diagnostic and consulting skills, the ability to influence leaders using data and executive presence, and strong capabilities in change management, workforce planning, and HR analytics. Desired credentials include healthcare HR experience, SHRM/PHR-SPHR or similar certifications, and a master’s degree (MBA or MPH). Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related curriculum
- 6+ years of progressive experience in human resources
- Master’s degree preferred in Business Administration (MBA) or Public Health (MPH)
- Certification: SHRM PHR/SPHR or similar preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong knowledge of applicable labor laws and regulations
- Experience with Workday and HR reporting
