Job Summary
The Human Resources Benefits & Compliance Analyst ensures compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies. Core duties include audits and reconciliations using Excel for the Service Contract Act, PTO, and benefits; coordination between HR and accounting; designing and implementing strategies to scale and improve internal compliance tools; managing open enrollment and evaluation of benefit programs (health, welfare, retirement, risk); coding employees for workers' compensation classifications; tracking travel; maintaining up-to-date knowledge of governance, compliance, and reporting requirements (including I-9/E-Verify, retirement discrimination testing, and government audits like Workers' Comp, SCA, and EEO/AAP); and ensuring documentation and controls for regulatory reporting across multiple jurisdictions.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources, employee benefits, HR compliance, risk insurance, or compensation
- U.S. Citizenship required
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with payroll/HRIS systems (Paylocity, bSwift, Procas) preferred
- Knowledge of I-9/E-Verify, SCA, EEO/AAP, state leave laws
- Ability to analyze and interpret laws and regulations and apply them to processes
- Excellent communication and ability to work independently
- Experience coordinating between accounting and HR functions
