Job Summary
HR Associate supervises support staff in the HR Unit and collaborates with Programme, Operations, and project teams to deliver HR services. Responsibilities include HR policy compliance, employee records management, recruitment support, preparation of contracts and HR documentation, ERP/UNall data entry and reporting, payroll coordination inputs, onboarding, benefits information, staff security/onboarding lists, maintenance of staffing tables, performance management support, talent management and career development activities, and facilitating knowledge sharing and training within the CO.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary education required
- A university degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or an equivalent field is preferred but not required
- Specialized certification in HR is an advantage
- Experience: a minimum of 7 years (with high school diploma) or 4 years (with bachelor’s degree) of HR/administrative experience at the national or international level
- Experience with computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and advanced knowledge of HR web-based management systems such as ERP
- Prior experience with UN/international agencies desirable
- Experience in supporting recruitment processes for development projects desirable
- Experience in reviewing and editing documents; producing meeting reports is an asset
- Experience in managing performance management systems and talent management is desired
- Fluency in English is required
